Description
 These Peruvian Cacao Beans come from Ucayali, a region of Peru located in the Amazon rainforest. Ucayali has optimal conditions for cacao cultivation, with planted hectares located at altitudes between 100 and 1,000 meters above sea level, temperatures ranging from 24°C to 30°C, and humidity levels around 80%. These is a group of 140 farmers that have reforest part of the land damaged by the mining camps. They receive technical assistance and we are helping them to reach the international market with fair pricing and recognition.
 
Flavour Profile:
Complex and  strong cocoa base with hints of fruit and notes of spice and light wood. Very low bitterness and astringency. Overall beautifully rich profile.
 

This beans have been fermented and sun-dried. They have NOT BEEN roasted, and are a raw agricultural product for further processing.
