Sustainability & Craft Cacao Hub

Who cacao is good for

Sustainability in cacao is not a marketing label. It is a complex challenge that touches farmer livelihoods, deforestation, child labor and the certification systems meant to address them, and it asks a hard question: who actually benefits from the chocolate industry?

These guides look at the full picture of sustainability in cacao, and at how craft chocolate built on direct relationships differs from the commodity system that has long undervalued cacao farmers.
